A daring jazz rocker with a screaming sax solo by Bazen, a flashy keyboard solo by Cook, and a wild trumpet solo by Davis. - I Thought About You

A mystic musical journey that starts with Gregorian chant and progresses to a rocking conclusion.
Reviews
…Beneath the mild-mannered exteriors beats the soul of the Blakey-Silver tradition, a rough and tumble side expressed in “Frenzy.”
– Chuck Berg, Contemporary Currents Jazz Times, February 1994
I feel we will be hearing a lot from and about this East Coast-based talent. The date offers some fast hard swing to a soft funk-rock. The title track is an electronic funk.
– Lee Carson California Jazz Now, September 1993
Not a Strange Thing at all…Liked “Monks of The Castle” and “Gentle Breeze.”
– W.O.B.O. 88.7 Cincinnati, Ohio
Good selection and good sounds…”I Thought About You” is really nice with Mike Davis’ flugalhorn. The title track is good – Bazen is very talented…
– Jack Simpson Jack Simpson’s Jazz On The Beach Florida

The new mini CD is here! Relive the 40’s any time you want by ordering your copy at Music Unlimited’s online store.
Let the good times roll with a jumpin’ big band, dazzling vocalists, swing dancers and more. The lovely “Andrews Sisters” vocal trio bring the magic of the 1940’s to your guests with memorable wartime songs like “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy”, “Don’t Sit Under the Apple Tree”, “Bei Mir Bist Du Schoen”, “Rum and Coca Cola” and more! Dressed to the hilt and All-American as apple pie, these ladies are always a hit.
A 9 to 17-piece big band with vocalists deliver favorites from the swing era, while swing dancers entertain and encourage your crowd to join in the fun. “In The Mood”, “American Patrol”, “Sing, Sing, Sing”, “Take the ‘A’ Train”, “Satin Doll”, “Opus One” and other popular swing tunes set the tone for a spectacular evening. The Modernaires-style vocal quartet, The Cosmopolitans, swing you back to the stagedoor canteen with great swinging standards like “Chattanooga Choo Choo”, “I’ve Got a Gal In Kalamazoo”.
Dancers, singers and a live swing band make this a great way to entertain your guests. Event planners have raved about this group’s talent, enthusiasm and authenticity and guests call for encores at the end of every evening.
To secure this show or other musical options for your event, please contact James Bazen.
